Genomes, Populations, and Species
The Genomes, Populations, and Species Program focuses on the study of genomic diversity within and between individuals, populations, and species, with the aim of deciphering the underlying evolutionary processes modeling such diversity and understanding their biological consequences. Research within the Program covers diverse areas, including the detection of the footprint of natural selection, population, and demographic dynamics, comparative and ancient genomics, the genetic basis of human traits and disease, and the application of genomic diversity in a forensic context.
