Línies de recerca

Aquest grup de recerca estudia els patrons de la diversitat de les papallones en el temps i l’espai, així com les seves causes evolutives. Les principals línies de la seva recerca són els límits entre espècies, l’evolució dels cromosomes i el vincle entre la filogeografia i l’ecologia. Quina ruta van seguir el grup de papallones que va colonitzar el nou món, i quina ruta van seguir? Com evoluciona el parasitisme a partir d’una relació amistosa entre espècies? Hi ha espècies de papallones que no podem distingir a ull nu? Pot una papallona travessar el desert del Sàhara? Són algunes de les qüestions a què el grup de recerca en Diversitat i evolució de les papallones intenta donar resposta.
