The Genomes, Populations and Species Program focuses on the study of genomic diversity within and between individuals, populations and species, with the aim of deciphering the underlying evolutionary processes and understanding their biological consequences. Research spans diverse areas, including the imprint of natural selection on diversity, population dynamics, comparative genomics, the genetic basis of human traits and diseases, ancient genomics, and the application of genomic diversity in forensic contexts.
