IBE 10th Anniversary Symposium: “Trends in Evolutionary Biology”
Science is full of SHEroes whose passion, work and creativity inspired Evolutionary Biologists of today.
As part of our commitment with society, the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (IBE, CSIC-UPF) wants to give credit and visibility to the achievements of female scientists in evolution.
To that aim, we launched the campaign #WhoisyourSHEro to share stories of women who had an impact in our researchers' scientific career through our social media and website.
The campaign keeps on moving as more and more women in evolution are inspiring the IBE community.

IBE 10th Anniversary Symposium: “Trends in Evolutionary Biology”
The Institute of Evolutionary Biology (IBE, CSIC-UPF), is turning 10 years old.
To mark the occasion, we wish to invite you to attend the scientific symposium “Trends in Evolutionary Biology”, which will be held in Barcelona on the 28th of May 2019 at the PRBB Auditorium.
The symposium will bring together exciting speakers from around the world to interact with the global and local scientific community to share ideas, discuss results and debate the present & future of evolutionary biology (full program enclosed).
The ceremony will be opened by Rosa Menéndez, President of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and Jaume Casals, Dean of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF).
The event is open to the public and there are no registration fees, but confirmation of attendance is required (registration deadline 20 May).
