On the 23rd October took place the 2012 IBE Retreat Annual meeting. More than 120 IBE researchers met at the IEC headquarters, right at the heart of Barcelona city to share one day and learn more on Evolutionary Biology Research.

Recently incorporated Researchers: Ferran Casals, Researcher at the Evolutionary Systems Biology Group, and Iñaki Ruiz-Trillo head of the Origins of multicellurarity Group, gave two of the main  lectures. Cedric Notredame from CRG, and  Daniel Sol from CREAF were the two external invited speakers of the day.   

This year PhD students have had a highlighted  role at the meeting  presenting their present projects through short oral presentations along the three poster sessions scattered along the day.

A total of 44 students participated in this activity explaining us their research.
