Xavier Belles gave the openning "President's Invited Lecturer" at the 2011 annual meeting of the Royal Entomological Society.

The meeting was held at the University of Greenwich (Kent, UK) from 7 to 9 September 2011. The lecture presented by Xavier Belles was entitled "Regulation of insect metamorphosis.
