SCIENTIFIC NEWS: "CISA2013 Student Awards"
Joan Garcia-Porta, predoctoral researcher at S. Carranza's lab won "the best oral presentation" award on the 2nd Iberian Congress of Biological Systematics (CISA2013) held in Barcelona last 25th to 27th September 2013 with the talk: "Testing the "island effect" on the tempo and mode of phenotypic evolution: insights from the Afro-Arabian and Socotran Hemidactylus geckos".
On her side Ana Rodríguez, predoctoral Researcher at J. Castresana's lab won the prize on the best poster presentation with the work: "Inferring speciation processes and cytonuclear discordance by morphology and coalescent methods in two Iberian voles".
