In this study we adjust the protocol for 454 sequencing for extremely small amounts of DNA. We demonstrate that our method beats easily whole genome amplification by multiple displacement amplification (aka GenomiPhi), and can be applied to metagenomics projects.
The study has been led by reserachers at the Instituto Cavanilles de Biodiversidad y Biología Evolutiva, Universitat de València in collaboration with IBE researchers.
