IBE joins the Biodiversity Day 2021
Science is full of SHEroes whose passion, work and creativity inspired Evolutionary Biologists of today.
As part of our commitment with society, the Institute of Evolutionary Biology (IBE, CSIC-UPF) wants to give credit and visibility to the achievements of female scientists in evolution.
To that aim, we launched the campaign #WhoisyourSHEro to share stories of women who had an impact in our researchers' scientific career through our social media and website.
The campaign keeps on moving as more and more women in evolution are inspiring the IBE community.
You can join the conversation through social media under the hashtag #WhoisyourSHEro.
With the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology - Ministry of Science and Innovation.
IBE joins the Biodiversity Day 2021
Biodiversity Day 2021 is being celebrated under the slogan: "We're part of the solution #ForNature".
From nature-based solutions to climate, health issues, food and water security, and sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity is the foundation upon which we can build back better.
At the Institute of Evolutionary Biology we join the #Biodiversity Day 2021 by sharing some on-going projects of our researchers which are contributing to biodiversity conservation.
The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity announced the Biodiversity Day 2021 slogan: “We’re part of the solution”. The slogan was chosen to be a continuation of the momentum generated last year under the over-arching theme, “Our solutions are in nature”, which served as a reminder that biodiversity remains the answer to several sustainable development challenges. From nature-based solutions to climate, health issues, food and water security, and sustainable livelihoods, biodiversity is the foundation upon which we can build back better.
As the world continues to grapple with the pandemic, at IBE we want to commemorate the Biodiversity Day 2021 through an awareness-raising Social Media campaign showing some of the efforts from IBE researchers to contribute to biodiversity conservation.
